South Bethany Beach House

The house is a simple "saltbox" style home on an ocean block in peaceful South Bethany. The location is spectacular, just steps to the sand & water. It is open, spacious and sunny, and sleeps 6-8.  The 1st floor includes a two-story living area, dining area, and fully-stocked kitchen with contemporary Mexican tile floors. The two carpeted bedrooms (1 queen & 2 twin beds) share a full bath with tub & shower. The 2nd level offers a loft for sleeping (pull out couch) or to use as a reading or play area, stocked with books and some toys. It features a large master bedroom and master bath. The front deck includes patio seating & charcoal grill, and  a peak over the dune to the ocean.  The beach is life-guarded in the summer, quiet and picturesque. It is minutes away from the Bethany Beach boardwalk, restaurants & shops. The Rehoboth Beach resort area is about 10 miles away.

How close to the beach?

Yes, as you can see, you are just steps to the beach. From the deck, you can see the sand and the water, and hear the waves crashing. There is a quiet, one-way road to cross to get the sand.

Since this picture was taken, the Bethany beach replenishment project has added significantly to the beach. The beach is now much wider and a dune has been created (more pictures below).

New Dune in Bethany

If you haven't yet seen the new dune that was created as part of the beach replenishment, this will give you an idea of how different the beach is now. It is huge!

This is a panaramic shot taken at the top the dune near the house.
There is a walkway at the end of each street that leads over the dune to the waves.
